Overview

RPG Date Planner is a tool for easily planning RPG sessions.

  • Create a new session and select possible dates
  • Share the link with your players
  • See when most players can attend

Create a new session by selecting possible dates. Share the link with your players so they can vote on which dates work best for them. Once everyone has voted, you'll see clearly which dates work for the most players.

  1. Go to "Create New Session" - Click on "Create New Session" on the home page or in the navigation menu.
  2. Enter Session Details
    • Session Name: A descriptive name for the session, e.g. "Dungeon Delvers - Session 3".
    • Description: Information about the session and any special requirements or preparations.
  3. Select Possible Dates
    • Use the calendar to select dates when you can host the session.
    • Navigate between months using the arrows or click on dates to select them.
    • You can select multiple dates to increase the chances of finding a time that works for everyone.
    • Click on an already selected date to deselect it.
  4. Invite Players
    • Add player names, or leave blank so they can enter them themselves.
    • Suggested names will appear as you type to make filling easier.
  5. Create the Session and Share Link - Click "Create Session" and copy the generated link to share with your players.

Example:

Session Name: Campaign: The Wizard's Tower - Session 5

Description: Exploring the tower's top floor. Bring previous notes!

Dates: 2023-11-15, 2023-11-20, 2023-11-22

Players: Stefan, Johan, Christian, Michael

Your game master has created a session and shared a link with you. Click the link to go to the voting page where you can mark which dates you can attend. You can easily change your responses later if something changes.

  1. Open Shared Link: Use the link your game master shared to access the voting page.
  2. Vote on Dates:
    • Yes - You can definitely attend on this date.
    • Maybe - You might be able to attend on this date but aren't sure.
    • No - You cannot attend on this date.
  3. Save Your Responses: After marking all dates with yes, maybe, or no, click "Submit Response" to save your choices.
Tip! Use "Maybe" sparingly and only when you're genuinely uncertain. Too many "maybes" make it harder for the game master to decide on a date.

On the results page, you can see how all players have voted and which dates work best for the group.

  • The table shows each player's response and compiles the results to display the best possible dates.
  • Click "Sort by yes votes" to rank the dates by how many people can attend.
  • Comments from players are displayed below their responses so you can take into account any reservations.

Choose the date that has the most yes votes and the least number of no votes for the best possible attendance.

How do I change my answers after submitting them?
Use the same link that you used to vote the first time. The system will remember your name and allow you to update your previous answers.
Why don't I see the session I was invited to?
Make sure you're using the exact link that was shared with you. You can also ask the game master to share the link again.
Can I add more dates after the session has been created?
Currently, adding new dates after a session is created is not supported. To add new dates, create a new session.
Can I share my invitation link with others?
Yes, if your game master has approved it. But keep in mind that anyone with the link can vote.
